Love Thy Neighbor Food Pantry Inc. is dedicated to providing free food assistance to anyone in need within our community. This includes families, individuals on furlough, and our valued veterans. We want to assure you that there are absolutely no special requirements to receive food, and we encourage anyone facing food insecurity to visit us without hesitation or shame. Our mission is to support everyone in our community.
Here are the details on how you can access our services:
* **Location:** You can find us in Essex, MD 21221. We are conveniently located directly behind Weis on Eastern Blvd.
* **Operating Hours:** We distribute food every Tuesday. So tomorrow 11/18/2025 and every Tuesday
* Numbers for food distribution are handed out starting at 9:00 AM and continue until 2:00 PM.
* The food distribution itself runs from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
* **Our Process:**
* Upon arrival, please collect a number. It is essential to be present when your number is called; otherwise, you will need to rejoin the end of the line.
* At 12:00 PM, we offer an optional prayer session. If you choose not to participate, we will begin calling numbers for food distribution at 12:15 PM. Please note that participation in prayer is absolutely not required to receive food.
* **What to Bring:** To ensure your comfort and convenience during your visit and for transporting your groceries, we kindly request that you bring:
* Your own water for drinking while waiting.
* Bags to carry your food items.
* A chair to sit on while waiting in line.
* **Food Items Provided:** We are pleased to offer a wide variety of fresh and shelf-stable items, including meats, fresh vegetables, produce, bread, desserts, snacks, and much more, all completely free of charge.
