My name is Ashley and I am a local photographer during half of my week. The other half of my week is spent as a veterinary technician, which is where I first met Killer the Cat. He is a regular boarder at the hospital I work at.

I moved to Baltimore in 2014. As I was not from the area, it took me by total surprise how famous this cat was. You almost can’t walk down the street in Hampden without hearing his name or seeing his likeness.

I have been in talks with Killer’s mom, Ms.Joy, in relation to writing a book about killer. It would be a photography based book (a day in the life of Killer type thing) with interviews and images of him lounging at local stores, etc. She thinks is a great idea and is behind the project. I think it is a great idea because Killer is getting older and he should be commemorated as the furry heart of Hampden that he is.

If you have a story about Killer the Cat you’d like to share, business related or personal, please contact me to setup an interview.
