**Job Opportunity: CDL A Driver**
We are seeking a CDL A driver with at least 2 years of experience and a clean driving record to operate our second truck. The successful candidate must be proficient in driving a manual transmission, as the truck is a 10-speed manual.
**Important:** You must already know how to drive a manual transmission. This is not a training opportunity for manual driving.
The position offers competitive pay, primarily on the night shift, with workdays from Sunday night to Friday night. Every other weekend will be required, but additional work is available on your weekend off if you choose to take it.
The work involves predominantly no-touch freight, with only about 1% of the time requiring some light handling, such as rolling carts off the trailer onto the dock. Typical driving areas include NYC, NJ, PA, MD, and VA.
We are looking for a punctual and reliable individual. If you have frequent childcare issues, call in sick often, or are not willing to consistently put in a full week of work, this position is not for you. As an owner-operator, I drive one truck myself and expect the same commitment and reliability from the driver of my second truck. Simply put, if the wheels aren't turning, no one is making money.
I am a laid-back, no-nonsense employer. As long as you meet expectations, you won’t hear complaints from me. I value professionalism and expect proper inspections and maintenance of my equipment, as you would take care of your own.
A urine test and a driver’s license insurance check are required before the hiring process begins.
