OTR - (OVER THE ROAD) 26 ft Box Truck Driver (2 years minimum experience) for 26' box truck - No CDL required
Responsibilities:
-Manage freight hauling pickup and deliveries Over the Road (OTR) 7+ days away from home - some local deliveries
-Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
-Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
-Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
-Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
-Collect and verify delivery instructions
-Report defects, accidents or violations
-Ability to operate liftgate and pallet jack
-1099 / random drug testing
Skills:
-Proven work experience as an Over the Road (OTR)/ interstate truck driver - Not local routes
-Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS & ELD)
-DOT Physical
-Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
-Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
-No recent moving or driving violations (clean driving record)
-Excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
-Valid Driver License – Copy of MVR required (3 yrs)
