We are seeking a professional and reliable CDL-A Driver with a valid TWIC card and Hazmat endorsement to join our transportation team. This role involves performing port-related work, transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials, and ensuring timely and safe deliveries to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to maintain professionalism while representing our company.
Responsibilities
• Safely operate a CDL-A vehicle for port pickups and customer deliveries.
• Transport loads that may include hazardous materials, ensuring all regulations are strictly followed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and compliance with DOT standards.
• Adhere to all DOT safety rules and company policies, maintaining accurate driving logs and documentation.
• Ensure on-time deliveries to customers, maintaining communication with dispatch regarding schedules and delays.
• Secure cargo properly and verify load documentation before transport.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at ports, customer sites, and while on the road.
• Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or incidents promptly.
Basic Qualifications:
• MUST have at least 3 years’ verifiable experience in CDL-A driving
• MUST have a valid Maryland Driver’s License
• MUST have a TWIC card
• MUST be able to drive a manual 10 speed truck
• No recent moving or driving violations (in the last 3 years)
Preferred Qualification:
• Port experience
• Hazmat Endorsement
