Synopsis: "Yappie" (a combination of YAP, a young Asian professional and yuppie) follows the story of Grace, a young Asian professional living her best life in the corporate world. Or is she? Passed over for a promotion, Grace finds herself in the unlikeliest of places: auditioning for a musical. "'Yappie: A Musical Comedy' promises to be a fun journey asking hard questions about identity and stereotypes with tons of empathy, warmth, and lots of laughs."

Rehearsals start March 11th & located in Mt. Vernon.
Rehearsals Wed/Thurs/Sunday 7pm - 10pm.
Shows are May 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, & 16th.
Henry (lead) - half-White, half-Asian; born & raised in Austin, TX. Kind but not a pushover. Sarcastic. Able to laugh at himself. He tries not to let it bother him, but sometimes he gets tired of being boxed into expectations or roles based on his looks and/or people's ideas of him. In some ways, still searching for where he truly belongs.
Olivia (lead) - 27 years old; East Asian. Strong willed, ambitious, extremely good at her job as a lawyer. Blunt and honest, but never harsh or ungenerous. She knows what she wants and goes after it. Surrounds herself with highly motivated people and doesn't like to waste her time being idle.
Nick (supporting) - 25 - 35. White. Plays all the male white roles in the show: bro in the bar, office manager, barista, etc. Great comedic timing.
Male/Non-Binary ensemble - will be filling various roles throughout the play. Singing/dancing required.
