​Application Developer​

The Digital Modernizion Sector has a career opportunity for an Applicion Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operions II (GSM-O II) contract DISA. This contract includes the Operions, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Informion System Network (DISN) within the DOD Informion Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Informion Systems Agency (DISA).  It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformion of DISA’s operional mission through innovion, and support to DISA’s mission partners. 

Candide must be able to be on site Ft. Meade, MD daily as needed. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Work independently to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of the ENET solution in multiple environments by proactively monitoring the system, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to ensure high availability and continuity of operions. 

• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work independently and be responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area. 

• Lead planning and migrion of ENET infrastructure and applicions from the Da Center environment to the AWS cloud. 

• Manage the full life cycle of the project including team member functional management and customer of deploying hardware & software within the environment. 

• Supervise and managed the daily tasks of geographically diverse team members. 

• Troubleshot and resolve installion, infrastructure, network and system issues. 

• Independently report, monitor, and mitige technical risks. 

• Ansible, Python, PowerShell and shell script experience is a must. 

• Experience creing standard opering procedures, installion guides and architecture diagrams for all project systems. 

• Conduct regular security scans, analyze results, and implement resolutions including testing of new hardware and software and ensure compliance with DISA. 

• Experience with Alma Linux (8.x, 9.x) and Ubuntu (18.04, 22.04) within VMware 6 & 7 hosts 

• Communice and collabore with clients and other team members to ensure successful completion of project 

• objectives. 

• Interact with software and hardware vendors to evalue vendor products and make recommendions to purchase hardware and software. 

• Experience with CI/CD pipeline, Earthflow’s NetObserv, AWS GovCloud, Jenkins, Artifactory, OpenShift, Ansible and Bitbucket are highly preferred. 

Basic Qualificions (required) 

• Must hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.

• Requires U.S. citizenship.

• Hold an active security certificion th meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (i.e., Security+) 

• Ft. Meade, MD, is a possible alterne work locion with occasional travel to Arlington, VA on-site support. 

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable. 

• Demonstred ability to stay organized, cree standardized processes or technical guides, prioritize tasks, assign task to other and to provide hands on assistance to maintain, deploy IT systems. 

• Ability to provide and support da center activities including, but not limited to, rack and stacking equipment, pull cable, and termining cables. 

• In-depth knowledge and experience with Virtual Environment administrion. 

• The ability to quickly adapt to new system environments and interface with systems. An interest in working on a broad range of problems and technology and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

• Ability to work independently and times as only Leidos representive working directly with customer IT team. 

• Ability to communice with program leaders and clients on stus, issues, or technical designs 

• Ability to follow documented processes and to provide updes to optimize or enhance the process when needed. 

• Demonstre good judgement and written/verbal communicions. 

• Experience with cloud-first, AWS nive architectures and cloud PaaS & SaaS services such as dabases. 

• Highly skilled with networking services and solutions. 

• The qualified candide shall have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks. 

• Demonstred leadership skills and tention to detail. 

• Experience implementing Security Technical Implemention Guide (STIG) for systems. 

• Must have experience working a Unix/Linux command line. 

• Strong communicion skills th enable proactive and effective collaborion with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articule stus and present to both customers and program leadership. Candide shall have the ability to develop and present management level briefings. 

• Proficient in creing technical documention and diagrams 

Preferred Qualificions 

• Understanding of cloud-based solutions and service offerings, especially within GovCloud 

• System integrion, system administrion, and network engineering experience. 

• Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, and/or backend/infrastructure engineering. 

• Experience with container management and orchestrion tools. 

• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD implemention. 

• Experience in transitioning large, complex applicions from da centers to the AWS cloud for Development, Test, and Production environments. 

• Experience supporting a DoD customer. 

• SME level understanding of designs and standards for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of infrastructure systems in a DOD environment. 

• Cloud Architecting experience with knowledge of Linux and Windows systems
