This position will be part of a focused group contributing to the company’s Enterprise-wide technology evolution. You will be part of the team building the foundation for the continuous development and improving internal and external customers experiences. This is an individual contributor role with the opportunity to lead and mentor your peers in various project efforts and to contribute to further professional and personal development. You will be responsible for various aspects of designing, developing, deploying and maintaining applications.
This role is highly focused on various customer technology platforms, with a concentration on Oracle’s Customer Care and Billing Application. You will perform and/or manage activities related to planning, gathering common business requirements, designing, building, and maintaining high quality solutions, products and processes. Additional work around coding practices and methodologies, technical architecture and hardware systems sizing, and analysis will be required to support the team.
As you’ll be joining a fast-moving team we know there will be days when we as a team may be required to work extended hours and/or shift work to support our effort and meet assignment deliverables, but we assure you, we make time to celebrate our victories, incorporate fun days to volunteer, team building, etc. along with additional corporate perks! Additionally, as a nimble team, we find it important to be receptive to take on new tasks outside of our routine work to grow and learn new skills and expect you to be able to accept these tasks with eyes wide open.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties:Maintain deep knowledge of technology and its application across our business areas or for our customers Promote knowledge via seminars, presentations and publications within IT and Exelon Participate in technological innovation to drive new business opportunities and solve complex business problems Shape and advance core team processes to increase operational efficiency and quality. Coach and lead other engineers assigned to their product or project team. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.
