LOCATION — 15 minutes to BWI Airport. 10 minutes to MedStar. 25 minutes to Johns Hopkins. 20 minutes to Fort Meade. Direct access to I-695 and I-95. Quiet residential street with shopping and dining nearby. Private entrance off the side of the house.
THE ROOM — Bright, cozy private bedroom with two twin beds, cotton bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, room-darkening shades, hangers, a closet and dresser for clothing storage, an iron, and a personal safe. Towels, bed sheets, soap, and toilet paper provided.
BATHROOM — Shared full bathroom with bathtub and shower. Shampoo, conditioner, Dove body soap, shower gel, hair dryer, and cleaning products all stocked.
KITCHEN — This isn't a mini-fridge-and-microwave situation. Full shared kitchen with a gas stove, stainless steel oven, refrigerator, mini fridge, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig and espresso machine, hot water kettle, toaster, blender, rice maker, and coffee on hand. Pots, pans, oil, salt and pepper, baking sheets, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, chopsticks — it's all there. Dining table seats everyone comfortably. Cook real meals, not hotel vending machine dinners.
LAUNDRY — Free washer and dryer in the building. No laundromat runs, no quarters.
LIVING ROOM AND ENTERTAINMENT — Shared living room with TV, piano, books, board games, and an ethernet connection if you need a hardwired setup for work.
OUTDOOR SPACE — Shared fenced backyard with an outdoor dining area and BBQ grill. Charcoal, bamboo and iron skewers, and barbecue utensils provided.
WORK-FRIENDLY — Dedicated workspace, fast WiFi, and ethernet. Travel nurses, remote workers, and contractors set up shop here without a problem.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY — If you're traveling with kids, there are children's books and toys for ages 0 through 10+, outlet covers, a baby bath available on request, and board games. Babysitter recommendations available too.
HEATING AND COOLING — Central heating, air conditioning, ceiling fan, portable fans, and an indoor fireplace. Comfortable year-round.
SAFETY — Smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire sprinklers in each room. Fire extinguisher and first aid kit on site. Exterior security cameras cover the front entrance, driveway, and shared living room only. No cameras in bedrooms, bathrooms, or any private space.
PARKING — Free parking on premises. Single-level home, no stairs inside.
GOOD TO KNOW — Two friendly dogs live on property (German Shepherd and Bulldog). They're protective at first but warm up quick. Text or call before arriving and leaving so we can coordinate smooth entry and exit around their schedule. The home is near the CSX rail line — occasional train noise, generally quiet, but worth knowing. Kitchen, bathroom, and living room are shared spaces. Weekly housekeeping available on Sundays. Luggage drop-off allowed if you arrive early or leave late. Host greets you personally.
The property is being prepared for future use as a licensed care facility. You might see some safety equipment or signage in common areas. Doesn't affect your stay at all — guest spaces are clean, comfortable, and fully functional.
PRICING — Weekly and monthly rates available. Long-term stays (28+ days) welcome and discounted. Way cheaper than any hotel in the BWI corridor, and you get a real kitchen, laundry, and a backyard. Reach out and we'll work something out.
