We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our convenience store team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, maintain store cleanliness, and support daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming shopping experience
Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and inquiries
Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
Sales & Transactions
Operate cash register and process transactions accurately (cash, card, mobile payments)
Maintain accurate cash drawer and perform end-of-shift reconciliation
Promote store products, specials, and upsell items when appropriate
Store Operations
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise (snacks, beverages, etc.)
Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or discrepancies
Ensure products are properly labeled and priced
Store Maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment
Follow sanitation and safety guidelines
Take out trash and assist with basic store upkeep
Compliance & Security
Follow all store policies and procedures
Verify ID for age-restricted purchases (alcohol, tobacco, etc.)
Prevent theft and report suspicious activity
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
Basic math and cash handling skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
