Rental Property Field Inspector and Job Estimator

Dunne Wright Services, LLC is currently searching for an experienced skilled Rental Property Inspector to inspect vacant and tenant occupied rental properties throughout the Baltimore Metro area. We are looking for long term employment for our newest Team Member. About Us:

We are one of Baltimore's largest Property Management Company and General Contractor that manages and performs work on 1000+ properties in the Baltimore Metro Area that was established in 2006. The majority of our business is residential rental properties with a few commercial properties as well. We also do full rehabs. We are a family oriented business.

Requirements:

Qualified applicants must have at least 5+ years of verifiable experience in residential property inspections and residential construction industry, they must have construction job estimating knowledge and experience. Knowledge and experience in HUD subsidized residential rental property inspection requirements.

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Field Inspector is responsible for inspecting vacant rental properties and submitting detailed inspection reports with labor cost estimate, material list, and pictures to office, inspecting tenant occupied properties for tenant maintenance issues and submitting detailed inspection report and pictures with material list and job cost estimate in a timely manner while maintaining the highest level of professional customer service. Field Inspector will also perform move in and move out inspections with tenants then submit detailed inspection report with pictures to office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Perform inspections of vacant and tenant occupied rental properties in the Baltimore Metro area.
Submit detailed inspection reports and pictures to office.
Submit detailed labor and material cost estimates to office.
Order materials for jobs.
Inspect jobs to completion.
Meet inspectors at properties when needed.
Install and remove lock boxes and signs as needed.
Secure properties as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge and experience with property inspections and job cost estimating.
Ability to drive a company vehicle safely at all times and to maintain a clean driving record.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Strong analytical and problems solving skills.
Must have excellent verifiable references.
Excellent written, verbal communications and listening skills.
Must be computer literate with the ability to use spreadsheets, send and receive emails, use basic apps, and computer tablet. Must be able to use a digital camera and take detailed photos of properties and issues.
Honesty and trustworthiness in dealing with customers.
Demonstrate sound work ethic.
Ability to participate in training sessions and company meetings.
Accuracy and timely invoicing, time sheets, and other daily paperwork submitted in a timely manner.


EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Five years minimum of verifiable property inspection and construction industry experience.
Willing to attend training classes for lead abatement.
