This antique is in fantastic used condition especially for its age. Empire State No.2 Rochester Optical Co.manufactured by The Eastman Kodak Co. in the United States.
This beautiful around 1915 Kodak View Camera is a large format 5x7 +/- camera with a Conley Safety f6.8 symmetrical lens 8 3/4 inch focus No. 5021 lens has light dust. Shutter works not tested for speeds. It is a manual focus camera front geared focus. Includes rear removable 10” extension rail tilt and swing movements. Rear glass has some scratches and light haze.
Wood construction may be cherry or mahogany wood and brass. The wood and brass shows ware and tarnish from normal use.
Black leatherette bellows opens up as it should bellows has some bent areas but intact. Knobs seem to work fine. In original condition signs of cosmetic ware from use and age it all appears to work. It has not been restored or shined up maybe around 100 years old.
This camera includes 4-film 5x7 holders and is designed for sheet film photography. Also black viewing drape and squeeze ball and hose for air shutter release is dryrotted. Also has original leather camera case in good shape.
