Currently seeking a Project Manager with at least 3-5 years experience in construction and demolition. The ideal candidate needs to be a self-starter, a team-player with both excellent organizational and communication skills.
Project Manager - Immediate Responsibilities:
1. Crew Management (Field Control)
Conduct a daily morning briefing with foremen and crew before work begins.
Confirm scope of work and restricted areas before demo starts each day.
Enforce safety protocols, especially around sprinkler systems, utilities, and ceiling demo.
Ensure directives from coordination meetings are clearly communicated to crews.
Verify no work proceeds in restricted zones without authorization.
Maintain daily field oversight to confirm work is being performed correctly.
Immediately address unsafe behavior or deviations from instructions.
Document incidents, delays, or safety concerns.
2. Customer / General Contractor Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for the GC and university representatives.
Attend and represent the company at all coordination meetings.
Ensure customer directives are implemented immediately in the field.
Provide clear updates on project progress and daily activities.
Report issues, risks, or schedule impacts early.
Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts and damage to building systems.
Maintain a professional presence on site with client representatives.
3. Office / Project Administration
Maintain daily communication with company leadership and office staff.
Provide daily or weekly progress reports.
Track project schedule and milestones.
Ensure proper documentation of work completed and issues encountered.
Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and subcontractors.
Document change orders, directives, and project instructions.
Help ensure the project remains on budget and aligned with scope.
