Amazing condition. The only thing not excellent is that there is an electrical tape repair on the footswitch Cable. Nonetheless, it works 100%. i just bought it from the original owner. it has stayed in his studio since the 70s.

More info

The machine is contained in a super-protective case that makes it highly portable. You simply unlatch the top to expose the unit’s panel. It’s in superb condition and perfect working order.

Manufactured in Japan in 1976, the SR-120 was the top-of-the-line model of the Mini Pops series, and the most advanced drum machine of its day - and it still sounds fantastic. Just a few of the artists that have recorded and performed with the SR-120: Kraftwerk, Roxy Music, Depeche Mode, The Pet Shop Boys, Crystal Method, The Buggles, Jean-Michel Jarre, OMD, The Orb, 808 State.

The SR-120 has the raw, early beat box sound, less refined than the KR-55 that came next.

Sounds: Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Cymbal, High Hat, Low Conga, High Conga, Claves
Presets: Slow Rock, Swing, Bossa Nova, Beguine, Rumba, Mambo, Samba, Waltz, Tango, Polka, Foxtrot, March, Rock 1, Rock 2, Rock 3, Rock 4

32 Patterns

Rhythm Auto Change

Automatic Break/Fill Button

Manual Break/Fill Button

Tone Balance. This is a very interesting knob that controls the Bass Drum/High Hat level: more Bass Drum and less High Hat when turning the pot in one direction, more High Hat and less Bass Drum when turning it in the other direction.

Long/Short Fade In/Out

Two Outputs

Footswitch Controls:
Start/Stop/ Fade In/Out, Manual, Break

The hardwired AC cable fits easily into a compartment in the case when not in use, as does the included original 1/4” connection cable.

Dimensions with case closed: 10.5 x 5.75 x 13 inches

Weight: 9 pounds

The SR-120 is a rare animal. This SR-120 is the only one of its kind. It’s a highly functional museum-worthy instrument.
