1972/73 Fender Telecaster neck with a recent professional refret and bone nut. Original tuners, bushings and string trees. The fret job and nut were done by Music Land in Belair, MD. They did a great job. The neck plays fantastic. These are large frets and in my opinion, greatly increase the playability. Vintage necks are wonderful. However, a refret is almost always needed for them to be at their best. In this case, that has already been taken care of. It's a costly service as well. Please refer to the pictures for accurate dimensions. There is only the tiniest hint of play wear on the new frets. There is age appropriate wear to the wood. I took several pictures from different angles to try to capture everything. It had a tuner swap at some point in its life. The holes are barely visible under the original tuners. I believe that someone also took some steel wool to the shoulders as the finish is very thin and/or missing in areas. It feels very comfortable all around. The original finish is in tact on the back, front and headstock. There are no issues with it and everything functions as intended. It's straight and very stable. The trussrod functions perfectly. I had it bolted to an MJT body for about a year and it was an excellent situation. It had a proper vintage vibe going on. This is not a particularly thin neck. I'd call it a medium C. It's not chunky, but has a satisfying fullness front to back with slightly narrower shoulders. It's very comfortable and not at all a slim blade like I've seen on other many other Fenders.
I recently got my main (and very first) guitar's neck back. The whole guitar has been with a very in-demand luthier for several years for a substantial amount of work. Since the work being done is mainly on the body, I collected the neck and put it on the MJT body. Leaving this gorgeous vintage neck without home. It needs nothing and is ready to be a part of another quality build!
I have this for sale locally as well as listed on sites and will be removed promptly when no longer available. Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. I have a pile of guitars and parts that I'll be listing. Some vintage and some more recent.
