We have another SCAM that was just listed for a "Fender Steve Harris Precision Bass 2009-12 - Metallic Sparkle Blue" for $1800. These scam artists commonly list a guitar or piece of equipment at a can't miss price and will attempt to get you to send money before ever meeting up or with the promise of shipping it to you.

The person is going to tell you that he is actually lives in another part of the country (He usually says Washington State but he actually lives in India) even though he listed it on the Baltimore Craigslist. He will ask you to send him money for the equipment and he will promise to ship it. Unfortunately, he will keep your money and you will never receive this item.

This specific person has been flooding our Craigslist with many SCAM ads for high priced items. There is over a dozen on them up right now and almost everything is listed from $1700 to $3000. Every single one of them is taken directly from recently sold objects on Reverb. He posts the exact pictures and the exact description from the ad. He also posts the ads to other state's Craigslists. Here's the Reverb ad for this object that sold recently for $2500:

Please never pay anyone up front for an instrument or equipment that is being sold on Craigslist. These scams are increasingly infecting our Craigslist so if you come upon one, please flag the listing and warn your neighbors. I've had many people reach out with stories about people stealing their money on here so we must look out for our fellow musicians and try to keep these scammers at bay.

I hope you all have a great day and stay safe out there. Happy Hunting as always!
