First of several guitars I’ll be listing over the next couple weeks…

1980s Casio PG 380 guitar synth. If you’re looking you probably know what it is, but…

Made in the 80’s with essentially Ibanez Strats and Casio electronics onboard. The first real professional level guitar with a hex pickup and synth built in and midi out. Because the synth engine is before (or parallel to actually) the midi conversion, it had better tracking than the other alternatives of the time, and arguably better than the current Roland offering. I’ve had this one since 1989 or so. I played it for ages, but I’m after shorter scales and not using the synth section anymore. I never liked the locking tremolo and replaced the bridge years ago. It’s stable and plays great. All the internal sounds are working great as is the midi out. The guitar has HSS setup with a push pull switch to split the humbucker. As would be expected with a 30 yr old guitar, there are a few nicks (the worst is the dent in the neck in one of the pics) and a little fret wear.

I recently had it serviced and all the electrolytic caps were replaced and pots cleaned and such at Big Crunch Amp Design in Baltimore. Comes with a wall wart and hard case. I can send more pics if anyone is interested. $950/reasonable offer. These sell on reverb for $1000 with the synth not working!
