The adjustable screw base plates (which had some surface rust from being encased in concrete) have been removed. So these would need to be placed as fixed length columns and set directly on concrete footings, then surrounded with concrete to hold them in place (just like adjustable columns).
The top plates are intact. One is bent inward a little because I used the column with a bottle jack to lift a floor but this does not affect structural integrity.
The original factory primer paint is intact plus some black spray paint was applied to protect bare metal where welds to a steel beam were cut with an angle grinder.
