Law Firm Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant (Reisterstown)

Reisterstown litigation law firm seeks an administrative assistant with strong accounting skills to record and produce all financial transactions including A/R, A/P, invoicing, receipt of payments and deposits, reconciling bank accounts, and who may assist with other administrative duties as assigned.

Working with the firm’s accounting software, your primary responsibilities will include:

➤ Timely Issuance of Legal Bills - including adherence to insurance company guidelines for the submission of bills electronically
➤ Bank Account Reconciliation
➤ Accounts Receivable
➤ Accounts Payable
➤ Entering Data into Software to Ensure Accuracy of Ledgers
➤ Communications with Payroll Processing Company
➤ Preparation of Information for Accountant to Prepare Year-End Tax Return

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented professional with a strong interest in law firm administration. While specific law firm experience would be helpful, it is not required. Applicants should have strong. We use such programs as PCLaw for accounting and Amicus Attorney for practice management, but can train an applicant with proficiency in computer accounting systems and CRM software. [For those with law firm experience and skills which we may apply to other practice-related functions, we would consider possible full-time work and this position carries the potential for growth commensurate with the tasks you are able to perform.]
