The Heyman Law Firm, located in downtown Baltimore, seeks a highly motivated entry-level paralegal to join the firm's litigation practice. College graduate or paralegal certificate required.

At the Heyman Law Firm, our attorneys are trusted advocates for small-to-midsize businesses and individuals in Maryland, the District of Columbia and throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The lawyers at the Heyman Law Firm provide practical, effective advice and counsel at every stage of a business's life cycle, from entity formation and managing daily operations, to the full range of legal disputes in between, including disputes with partners, shareholders, employees, investors, vendors, management and other businesses. The firm is recognized throughout the region for its real estate and fiduciary litigation practices.

Essential Functions:
· Prepare and draft legal documents, including discovery requests and responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
· Review discovery responses, depositions and prepare summaries and litigation update reports.
· Communicate closely with clients to provide status reports and advice.
· Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law.

Salary is $16 per hour (negotiable) and hours are flexible.
