Unskilled Labor Contract Work Opportunity for MDOT/SHA (Howard County)
Start Time 7:00am - 4:00pm Daily (Except All Federal Holidays)
Compensation: Unskilled Labor Workers $16.00/ Hr. straight pay (No Deductions)

Unskilled Labor Position(s) = 10 - 15 (workers daily)
Unskilled Labor workers will report to 1 of 2 Howard County MDOT/SHA facilities located either in the city of Jessup and or Dayton. Daily reporting for duty is 7:00am - 4:00pm. Workers are expected to report ready for work and waiting to take instructions for the day. Ready for work is having All necessary PPE (gloves, work boots, class III safety vest, eye protection wear, ear plugs, and more). Every worker will punch a time card in the beginning and at the end of every day.
In the morning, All Unskilled Laborers will report to MDOT's Supervisor(s) who will direct what truck and work you will be performing for the day. The work instructed by MDOT's facility supervisors can be any labor related job that is normally performed on a day to day basis by their own team such as but not limited to: mowing, trimming, litter-pickup, animal carcass removal, road asphalt patching, bulk trash removal and more. This is a Full-Time job and you will be expected to report to work on-time, in proper attire, looking alert and ready for work everyday MDOT/SHA is open for business, rain, snow, inclement weather, etc. No exceptions. Daily performance will be evaluated by MDOT, documented and reported. MDOT reserves the right to remove any Unskilled Laborer from the contract at anytime. Unsolicited influences of any kind may be cause for immediate termination from the contract. There will be no absences. Any absence that is undirected is cause for immediate termination from the contract. If you cannot dedicate Full-Time to a daily job for approximately 1.5 Years than Do Not Respond to this Job Posting.
