ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 

• Provides support on HVAC construction job by reading and interpreting blueprints as needed by foreman to ensure a timely and quality completion of the project. 

• Provides the required laying out of the roof penetrions and ducting; and laying out of the sheet metal fittings as directed by the foreman. 

• Provides assistance to the Construction foreman as needed on the job. 

• Provides support by coordining and following job schedules; i.e., labor hours, and merial costs. 

• Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installions. 

• Knowledge of carpentry. 

• Knowledge of refrigerion systems and piping of refrigerion equipment. 

• Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to pipe refrigerion equipment. 

• Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigerion, electrical and plumbing. 

• Ability to hang evaporion coils and install overhead hangers. 

• Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills. 

• Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance. 

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Performs other duties as assigned. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Educion / Training 

• High school diploma or GED, equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes. 

• License as a Journeyman to meet ste requirements. 

Work Experience / Skills 

• 3+ year's experience in the construction industry, and hands on field experience in commercial HVAC construction and major market remodeling. 

• Knowledge of UMC/SMACNA requirements. 

• Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools. 

• Knowledge of refrigerion equipment. 

• Knowledge of blueprints, detailing HVAC duct fittings.  

• Good driving record. 

• Valid driver’s license 

• Ability to grease duct weld, and complete minor electrical installion. 

• Ability to complete sheet metal layouts and fabricions, good mechanical skills.  

• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable Ste and Federal laws.  

• Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.

Work Environment: 

This job typically operes in convenience stores, grocery stores, food service and/or construction environment with need to work heights from ladders and/or Scissor lifts. Mechanical rooms can have eleved noise levels. The position regularly works near/with refrigerion/HVAC equipment th can expose the workers to extreme cold from refrigerant and high he from brazing operions. This role routinely works in outside conditions th include inclement weher, he and humidity, and exposure to dust. These conditions require employees to use the correct PPE and safe work practices. 

Physical Demands: 

This position is very active and requires excellent stamina to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Employees are regularly required to walk and stand for long periods, hear, drive, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, use hands and fingers, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
