This is a brand new in-box set of Restore & Restyle (TM) kids train theme bookends. They were manufactured in 2001 or 2002. They were sold exclusively in Target stores as part of their "Transportation Collection." The bookends consist of two 12" rail pieces that fit together to form a 24" bookshelf (unsupported, so it must rest on a flat surface of at least 2 ft. in length) plus a stylized engine and boxcar, each sitting against a stylized tunnel portal. The two bookend pieces are each about 6"in length. You therefore get up to ~1 ft. of space for the books between the two train bookends. The rail on which the books rest is 5" wide.
