Registered Nurse – Flo Pool

Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | 12-hour shifts | Part-Time | On-Site

Overview:

Carroll Hospital is seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Flo Pool team. This is a premium opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to work across a variety of inpient units. The Flo Pool RN will be expected to provide high-quality, evidence-based care while floing between Med-Surg, IMC, PCU, CCU, and the Emergency Department based on staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Practice:

• Utilize sound clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and decision-making

• Apply evidence-based practice and situional learning in pient care

• Accurely assess and document pient condition, pain, and comfort measures

• Develop individualized plans of care, discharge planning, and educional support

Collaborion & Communicion:

• Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to coordine and integre pient care

• Participe in daily team huddles, pient care discussions, and team meetings

• Delege tasks appropriely and ensure timely follow-up

• Provide pient and family educion to support informed decision-making

Professionalism & Innovion:

• Stay current with nursing best practices, research, and hospital protocols

• Engage in quality improvement efforts and peer review

• Demonstre customer service excellence and uphold hospital standards

• Follow standard algorithms, protocols, and safety policies across all units

Pient Safety & Experience:

• Perform hourly rounding and proactive pient engagement

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for pients and families

• Be aware of and work toward the reduction of Nurse Sensitive Indicors (NSIs)

Requirements:

• Active RN license with the Maryland Board of Nursing (or compact ste eligibility)

• American Heart Associion (AHA) BLS Provider certificion – Required

• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificion – Required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an IMC or higher-acuity care setting

• Flexibility and comfort working across multiple inpient units
