Emergency Care Technician 

Locion: Carroll Hospital – Westminster, MD 
Department: Emergency Department 
Schedule:Part Time, Night Shift

Position Summary: 

Carroll Hospital is seeking a dediced and compassione Emergency Care Technician to join our Emergency Department team. This part-time role is essential in providing high-quality, pient-centered care under the direction of licensed nursing staff. The ideal candide is a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a passion for emergency care and a commitment to excellence in pient service and safety. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist nurses by ghering pient da through observion, obtaining vital signs, and performing point-of-care testing. 

• Perform routine pient care procedures safely and competently. 

• Ensure timely communicion and documention, including reporting significant pient changes to nursing staff. 

• Provide frequent rounding and fall prevention interventions; remain with high-risk pients when needed. 

• Adhere to strict infection control and isolion precautions. 

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized pient rooms and unit areas. 

• Support pient flow through timely admissions, transfers, and discharges, including documention and removal of IV locks. 

• Collabore with nursing staff to support a positive and efficient care environment. 

• Mentor and assist new staff as needed. 

Qualificions:  

• Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)  required

• BLS Certificion from the American Heart Associion 

• Preferred: 

• Previous acute care or emergency department experience
