Heirloom Tomatoes, Inter determinate varieties, plant in full sun, even soil moisture, avoid over-watering. Heirlooms are not typical tomato plants of today, heirlooms are part of an era when soils were more nutrient-dense and the taste of a homegrown MD tomato was something to talk about, back then... Heirlooms are heavy feeders and require rich, fertile soil. Shisto (HOT)
Heirloom, favored by chefs and home gardeners. It’s adventurous, unpredictability, meaning one out every ten peppers carries a surprising flash of heat, otherwise, these peppers are known for its mild, smokey, slightly sweet flavor with earthy/grassy undertone and brightness. Full sun, 18-24” tall, free branching, sets of clusters, 3-4” crinkled fruits, ripens red, mostly harvest whole still green for tender bite, quick cooking qualities. Good blistered on a grill, stove top or dry pan roast. Toss in salads and other savory dishes for light spice taste and aroma, toss with with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt.
