Heirloom Tomatoes, Inter determinate varieties, thrive in full sun, prefer evenly moist soil. Heirlooms are not your typical modern tomatoes of today. Heirlooms are part of an era when soils were more nutrient-dense and the taste of a local, homegrown MD tomato was something to talk about. Fruits, vegetables and herbs listed are true to taste, thrive best, in rich fertile soil. To enhance soil quality, amend soil w/ AGED cow manure or AGED leaf based compost, if needed. Plants can be top dressed to help soil remain nutrient-dense throughout the growing season. It all begins in the soil.
