This vintage glass water jug is a nice bit of history that will make a great addition to any collection or as a decorator piece. Last used for wine making in the 70’s. The raised lettering on one side of the bottle says "Great Bear Spring Trade Mark company, This Bottle is Loaned and never sold 5 gallons' the other side is embossed with “illegal possession or refilling this bottle punishable one year imprisonment, $50 reward for evidence leading to conviction". The raised symbols on the bottom signify it was made by Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in 1959 based on the bottom date stamp. It is in excellent condition for its age. Last used for wine making in the 70’s.
