Vintage Wedding /Bride Box/Pedestal Candy Dish - $10 (Baltimore)

Have heard many variations of the Wedding Slice Box, but not sure of which one is correct.
The one I hear most is that a slice of cake is saved by the Bride to feed to her Groom the day after the wedding, to ensure his fidelity.
Measures 10 inches tall. The covered box at top is 4 inches across and 2-1/2 inches deep.
