You just put sugar water, juice, or whatever you find that attracts the pest you are trying to get rid of in the jar.
This one has a handle if you want to use it outside for wasps, or you can use it inside to trap flies.
The pests climb in the bottom and cannot find their way out. It just needs a cork or suitable stopper for the top.
When stationed in the Caribbean, years ago. I noticed that most people had similar traps that they even placed on their table
to catch flies. They were just a little more attractive for table use.
