Job Title: Line Cook
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Line Cook to join our bar and tavern team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment while also maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, including dishwashing and general sanitation. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in both food preparation and keeping a clean, organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner during service
Maintain consistency in portioning, presentation, and taste
Follow all food safety and handling procedures
Dishwashing & Cleaning
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans throughout shift
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, floors, and workstations
Take out trash and recycling as needed
Assist with closing duties, including deep cleaning tasks
Keep dish area organized and stocked with clean items
Kitchen Operations
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Qualifications
Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong work ethic and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
