We’re looking for a reliable and energetic Production & Kitchen Porter to support sanitation, dishwashing, and general cleaning across both HEX Ferments’ production kitchen and the HEX Superette retail space. This role is essential to maintaining clean spaces, food safety, production flow, and a welcoming environment for our team and customers.
Schedule: 35 hours a week
Tuesday through Saturday 12:30 pm - 7:30pm (HEX Ferments & HEX Superette)
What You’ll Do / Core Responsibilities:
Handle dishwashing and sanitation for dishes, tools, fermentation equipment, and kitchenware, and help keep all production and kitchen areas clean and organized.
Daily and weekly facility cleaning, including:
Bathrooms
Mopping and sweeping floors
Front-of-house surface cleaning (windows, counters)
Deep cleaning projects
Trash, recycling and cardboard maintenance
Support team members with light food prep, utility tasks and generally maintenance of all spaces
Who You Are:
Take pride in cleanliness and organization
Work well independently and as part of a small team
Don’t mind physical work (standing, lifting, moving supplies)
Are punctual and dependable
No prior kitchen experience required — training provided!
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate in Baltimore: $15 – $17/hr DOE
