The Public Good Institute of Maryland and The Benevolent Society Corporation are seeking a highly capable and experienced Event Coordinator to assist in planning and executing two upcoming events:
A leadership roundtable/dinner involving community and invited international leadership
A community youth awareness event focused on youth challenges, pressure, and drug prevention
This is a meaningful, purpose-driven opportunity to help bring together community leaders, families, and youth for impactful engagement. We are looking for someone who can take initiative and help ensure these events are well-organized, professional, and executed with excellence.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and organizing both events from preparation to completion
Coordinate timelines, logistics, and communication
Work with speakers, partners, and venue contacts
Organize and guide volunteers
Support event-day execution and ensure smooth flow
What We’re Looking For:
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Ability to take ownership and execute independently
Excellent communication and follow-through
Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive
Prior event coordination or leadership experience strongly preferred
Compensation:
Flat project fee: $500
Payment structure:
50% upon completion of initial planning and coordination milestones
50% upon successful completion of the events
Additional Notes:
You will be working closely with the organizer (not alone)
This role may lead to future opportunities as we continue to host community and leadership events
