Researchers at the University of Maryland, Baltimore are conducting a research study using a noninvasive imaging technique to better understand changes in the eye related to glaucoma.

โข Uses a noninvasive imaging tool (Brillouin microscopy)
โข Aims to better understand eye changes related to glaucoma
โข May help improve how glaucoma is detected and managed in the future
๐ฐ Compensation:
โข $40 gift card per completed visit
โข Additional compensation may be available for optional follow-ups
โข Travel support may be provided (up to $100)
๐งช What to Expect:
โข One in-person imaging visit (about 40โ70 minutes)
โข Optional follow-up visits over several weeks
โข Eye imaging and standard vision tests may be performed
โ You May Qualify If You:
โข Are 18 years or older
โข Have been told you have an open angle in the eye
โข Have vision of 20/25 or better (with or without correction)
โข Meet certain prescription (refractive error) criteria
๐ซ You May Not Qualify If You:
โข Have had prior eye surgery or glaucoma treatment
โข Have certain eye or medical conditions (e.g., corneal disease, diabetes)
โข Have used glaucoma eye drops before
