Position Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of an tending surgeon, perform a variety of physician assistant duties and technical procedures on the hospital floors, Emergency Room or other areas of the hospital to assist in the delivery of health care services to the pient. Essential Functions: Clinical Practice Provides direct and indirect pient care optimizing pient safety. Works proactively and in collaborion with other team members. Tasks: Acts as a care coordinor for surgeons, referring physicians, nursing staff, etc. Screens pients and performs complete histories and physical examinions. Orders/prescribes necessary medicions, laborory and radiologic studies, routine fluids, diets, pient activities and similar pient care orders. Performs surgical assistant responsibilities to including handling tissue, providing exposure, using instruments, suturing and tying and providing hemostasis. Respond to the Emergency Room to manage and/or assist with trauma resuscition. Instruct pients on discharge informion, home care of wounds, use of medicion, diet or other aspects of health care.

Requirements:

• American Heart Associion CPR Certificion
• NCCPA Certificion CPR Healthcare Provider and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner license required
