A Baltimore-based entrepreneur, academic, and parent with multiple creative, professional, and community projects is seeking a reliable, grounded, and highly organized Personal Assistant. This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys supporting people with full and complex lives, and who thrives in a mix of administrative, household, and life-logistics tasks.
The ideal candidate is queer-friendly, nonjudgmental, good at balancing emotional intelligence with practical efficiency, and comfortable working in aprivacy-focused, nontraditional, and mutually respectful environment. Currently looking for help approximately 10-15 hours a week, but this could expand over time with the right candidate.
Responsibilities could include:
- Light household tasks: laundry, tidying, dishes, basic organization
- Personal errands: groceries, small shopping trips, returns
- Organizing home spaces and managing household inventory
- Scheduling and updating calendars across multiple domains
- Coordinating appointments (health, beauty, administrative)
- Helping organize digital libraries and documents (PDFs, folders, documents)
- Formatting or preparing documents, slides, or written materials
- Tracking deadlines and sending reminders
- Simple travel logistics: booking transport, hotels, packing prep
- Liaising with service providers or contractors
- Drafting routine emails or community communications
- Managing mail, printing, scanning, copying tasks
- Tracking receipts and supporting basic expense organization
- Light support with social media posting or website cleanup
- Occasional child pickups/drop-offs or helping a kid get settled after school

- A strong sense of visual style and an eye for design and presentation
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and problem-solving
- Warm, respectful, and emotionally intelligent
- Organized and able to manage shifting priorities
- Strong communication skills and comfortable interpreting guidelines
- Open-minded about nontraditional professional lives
- Tech-savvy (social media, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, Google Suite, Proton, etc.)
- Easy to work with, steady under pressure, reliable in follow-through
- Bachelors degree in the humanities, arts, or social sciences (not required, but preferred)
- Local to Baltimore; able to do both in-person and remote work
