The Health Informion Management (HIM) Department Sinai Hospital in Baltimore manages all pient health informion and medical records. The department serves as the hub where pient da is collected, stored, protected, and utilized for clinical care, billing, and regulory compliance.

HIM Chart Deficiency Specialist

The HIM Chart Deficiency Specialist is responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of pient medical records in accordance with hospital bylaws, policies, and regulory requirements. This role supports the HIM Analysis and/or Physician Incomplete areas and assists with coordining the daily activities of HIM Technician areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review discharged pient records for completeness within 48 hours of discharge, ensuring adherence to hospital policy, accredition, and regulory standards.
• Identify and resolve physician deficiencies, ensuring accure and complete documention.
• Effectively communice with hospital staff, physicians, and vendors to resolve documention issues and maintain record quality.

Requirements:

• Preferred: Associe’s degree or AS in Health Informion Management, Healthcare Administrion, or a relevant field.
• 3-5 years relevant experience required.
• AS in HIM, Healthcare Administrion or relevant educion and training. Years of experience accepted in lieu of educion.
