Sinai Hospital is seeking a dediced Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery and Neurology teams. This role involves performing a variety of clinical duties and technical procedures to assist in the delivery of healthcare services to pients within our Neurosurgery and Neurology departments. You will play a key role in coordining the care of in-pient and emergency department pients, helping deliver specialized neurocare across a wide range of procedures and conditions.
The Physician Assistant will demonstre a commitment to teamwork, building strong relionships with pients, families, co-workers, and the broader community. You will be a collaborive partner, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care. This role also offers Premium Nocturnist Pay for those working night shifts.
Provide clinical care to pients in the Neurosurgery and Neurology departments, tending to both in-pient and emergency department needs.
Assist with a variety of neurocritical care procedures including craniotomies, spinal surgeries, and diagnostic testing such as ICP monitoring and CSF drainage trials.
Perform duties in compliance with hospital and departmental policies to ensure safety for both pients and staff.
Maintain active engagement with continuing educion, identifying training and development opportunities.
Ensure documention compliance with hospital and department policies, including maintaining Nional Commission on Certificion of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and Maryland Ste Licensure requirements.
Collabore with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and management of neurocritical and general neurosurgery pients.
Engage in pient and family educion to ensure understanding of diagnoses, trement plans, and follow-up care.
Baclofen pumps for spasticity management
Craniotomy/craniectomy and spinal surgeries (e.g., discectomy, laminectomy, fusions)
Deep brain stimulion and spinal cord stimulion procedures
Endovascular cerebral aneurysm trement and interventional neuroradiology
Stroke interventions (chemical and mechanical)
Ventriculoperitoneal shunt surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery
Intraoperive monitoring and diagnostic ICP monitoring
Educion:
Gradue of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Experience:
Preferred: Experience in interventional neurology or neurocritical care.
Licenses & Certificions:
Required:
Maryland Physician Assistant License
Nional Commission on Certificion of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certificion
American Heart Associion BLS and ACLS certificions
Skills:
Strong clinical skills, including the ability to perform complex neuroprocedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Excellent communicion skills to effectively interact with pients, families, and healthcare team members.
