We offer professional, dash-cam installation of the Rexing R4 dash camera systems. We provide the Rexing R4 camera system WITHOUT GPS, as having your speed recorded is NEVER a good thing. Our installs are by appointment only and take no more than 10 minutes and are performed between 7am and 7pm, Mon-Fri, on the open air parking lot of The Pikesville Police Dept. parking lot, so as to better ensure everyoneβs safety. Why not include GPS to log your vehicleβs speed?
ANSWER:
Numerous studies reveal that the vast majority of drivers tend to exceed posted speed limits, at times, even if only by 1 MPH. Realizing this, the last thing a driver should ever do is volunteer into the courtroom evidence/proof/documentation that they themselves were speeding. Doing so immediately deems them "contributory to the accident". Any attorney (worth his or her salt) will agree with this.
So, in the pursuit of better protecting oneself from a fraudulent accident claim, it is hands-down not in the driver's best interests to ever have the rate of travel recorded/displayed on your video. This is the sole reason for our electing to provide only G-Sensor statistics (with G-Sensor activated file locking), along with date and time recorded and displayed and not a GPS feature documenting your speed.
For the record, my primary focus is to better protect you from intentional and the mistaken fraudulent accident claims, sweeping the country at an alarming rate. For this reason alone, I do not and will not provide a GPS feature, to log the speed of your vehicle or even to capture it and save it in a secret encrypted file somewhere. It is not in your best interest to do so, period.
The Rexing R4 operates from your 12volt DC vehicle power source, providing uninterrupted, looped video recording. At any given time, this dash cam has more than enough energy stored in its super capacitor to store and LOCK recorded video files even in the event of an impact (accident), even when the DC power source may be disconnected suddenly. Even then, it still saves and locks the recorded video file, also maintaining itβs time and date for greatly extended periods of time when not in use, all thanks to the super capacitorβs stored energy.
This dash cam creates video of actual events for you to keep, especially when you require legal documentation/proof of your innocence. The video may be reviewed backward, forward and frame by frame if you wish. Video does not forget, become confused, doesnβt become distracted and will never add or take away anything from events recorded. Dash cam video provides what is termed direct evidence, rather than hearsay or circumstantial evidence. All honorable courts of law accept dash cam video as documented truth, your proof of what really happened.
FYI: Should another driver cause your accident, PLEASE have THEM talk to the investigating officer first, BEFORE you do! Why? When they LIE about what happened and you then show the video, they WILL be charged with a FELONY and not a misdemeanor. They will be immediately arrested and their vehicle will be towed to an impound lot, whether the vehicle is drivable or not. Talk about delivering immediate and perfect Karma.
When reviewing the recorded video, you or anyone else will see exactly what took place, in no uncertain terms. The videos are your permanent window into the past. Itβs your proof, but it canβt be if you do not have a dash cam installed.
