LPR International is seeking a dynamic Civil Engineer for our client in Glen Burnie, MD.

Position: Civil Engineer

Summary: In this position, the successful candidate will lead the design of Land Development projects including roads, grading, water, sewer, storm drains, storm water management and erosion and sediment control.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of residential and commercial construction plans and specifications.
Design and Preparation of the following plans: water, sewer, road, storm drain, traffic control, grading, erosion and sediment control, storm water management, and flood studies.
Preparation of drainage area maps, hydraulic gradient evaluation, earthwork analysis, storm water calculations (including environmental site design techniques), construction cost estimates, and preparation of technical reports.
Correspondence with review agencies, clients architects, attorneys, contractors and other engineers.

Qualifications:

B.S. / B.A. degree is required.
5+ years’ experience related to land development design and processing.
Civil engineering experience must take place in the state of Maryland.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D is a plus).
Must be capable of using Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, HEC-RAS, Flow Master, Tr-55, Tr-20, HY-8, and other software associated with civil engineering and general office work.
Must have effective communication skills.
Experience with plan processing and permitting is a positive.
