As an AmeriCorps Program Coordinator, you’ll oversee the delivery of Reading Partners one-on-one tutoring program at an elementary school partner, including program coordination, operations, and relationship development. Responsibilities & Duties
The Reading Partners’ Program Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity to serve directly with kids, coach volunteers, build partnerships, and gain hands-on experience with a literacy program that works. As an AmeriCorps Program Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for:

--Coordinating the day-to-day operations of Reading Partners’ online tutoring program and/or in-person tutoring program to ensure the program and curriculum meet students’ learning needs.

--Coaching volunteer tutors, supporting families, and coordinating student and tutor schedules.
Managing accurate student and tutor data, and tracking student progress through regular assessments.

--Forging and maintaining positive relationships with school staff, students, families, tutors, and AmeriCorps peers to create a welcoming tutoring environment for students.

--Delivering individualized online or in-person tutoring sessions to students as needed.

Required Qualifications
--Possess a high school diploma or GED
--Hold US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status
--Have not completed more than three (3) prior AmeriCorps or VISTA service terms

Preferred Qualifications
--Understand this position is an AmeriCorps service commitment and are dedicated to successfully completing a full term of service
--Demonstrate a passion for working with children, possess a natural ability to connect with people, take initiative, and are eager for a dynamic schedule
--Understand that this role may shift as-needed based on COVID-19.
