Come help us make mental health content that’s human, hopeful, and impossible to scroll past!
We are looking for an intern to assist with content creation for NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore - the Baltimore affiliate serving the 1 in 5 individuals living with a mental health condition and their families, in the region through free support, education, and advocacy. A big part of what we do is storytelling, and we need someone to help get our story out there!
This internship would begin in March and run through May of 2026.
Who You Are:
-You can run with a vision and bring it to life
-You have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
-You're able to work on projects independently
-You’re comfortable creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and beyond
-You’re not afraid of a camera. Whether you’re behind it, editing, or occasionally in front of it
-You can turn “we need a post about this event” into something people actually want to watch, read, and sign up for
-Bonus points if you love experimenting with trends, editing video, or storytelling for social good
-You have strong graphic design and video capturing and editing skills
-You are willing to ask questions and learn as you go!
What You'll Do:
-Help create and schedule social media content, with a focus on photos of live events and videos of community members
-Assist with short-form video, interviews, reels, and editing
-Help brainstorm and follow through on creative campaigns and content ideas
-Support storytelling around mental health, advocacy, education, and community events
-Learn how a nonprofit brand builds connection and impact online
Requirements:
-Must have own camera (phone camera is fine if good quality!)
-Must have reliable transportation (car is ideal) since events happen all over town.
-Must have a working computer
-Daytime availability at least 2 days a week, for minimum of 3.5 hours each day.
To Apply:
Please email a copy of your resume to the email listed in this post, along with a paragraph or two about why you are interested in this internship, and a link to a portfolio of your design and video work. Please note, only applications that include examples of prior creative work will be considered!
