Are you interested in quantitatively managing your retirement portfolio / assets or breaking into the quant / hedge fund world for your career? Are you a numbers-driven C# coder with lots of time?
I am looking to work closely with a partner to develop various equities strategies and implement them in practice with own funds. Obviously, with successful operation, running own hedge fund is a possibility. I am looking to leverage my formal background in research and knowledge of finance to pick-up strong programming skills needed for strategy implementation.
A little about me:
A full-time engineer / researcher with an Ivy-League Ph.D. background in a non-finance / CS field; strong interest in finance and equity algorithmic trading; math olympiad accolades in the past, so possess a quantitative mind-set; have some coding experience, but no formal training. My personality in general is pretty laid back with an open mind for new ideas and a strong work ethic. I will get down and dirty with whatever I am working on.
I am seeking someone who wants to dig deeper into finance research and achieve a real financial innovation that can be practically implemented or as part of a hedge fund strategy. I am also looking for someone who is willing to take the time to teach good programming principles to a novice.
An ideal person will have
-A full-time job or be a student (I am looking for a partner - this is not a job offer)
-Background in OOP and C# development
-Expressed some interest in finance in the past
-Free time after work during the week and on weekends
-Transportation (I am located in Baltimore proper)
If this something you are interested in, write me back and let's set up a phone call to discuss. Please attach a recent resume to get a flavor for what your background is. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
