If you have ivy creeping up the bottom of your tree - please cut it all - it will kill your tree.
Ivy is pervasive on the east coast it grows from bottom to top it weakens then completely chokes the tree to death. Google how to kill ivy and watch the video s.
When it grows on the ground it will eventually take over and grow up your house exterior , fence, mail box when it grows into them. Kudzu kills the same way as ivy- pull it from the ground then as it grows up on trees. Thanks
