Honeybee Removal (ABINGDON)

12
Have honeybees made a home in your home? At first when you realize this your first instinct may be to kill them, but that is not the best option. There are a couple problems with that, first we need these pollinators around. Second, there could be 50,000 - 100,000 bees in your wall, if you kill them they will still be there, and will begin to rot, which has a terrible smell. This, and/or the honey will likely attract other pests into your home as well. Then if that wasn't enough the honey will eventually open up and leak into your home causing even more damage. If simply left alone the moisture will cause problems and the bees will likely eventually make it into your home as they try to expand theirs.

The alternative would be to have me come out and remove the hive, and move it into one of my yards. I have over 10 years of construction and roofing experience so I will be sure to minimize the damage that must be done, which will save money if you choose to hire a contractor to repair the damage. In this case I will provide an estimate for removal, which would include bee proofing the area prior to starting the removal.

The other option would be to have me remove the hive and repair the damage, as stated I have plenty of experience in this area. If you choose to do this I will give you an estimate for removal and repairs as one estimate prior to starting. This will also include bee proofing the area.

The estimate will be based on the difficulty of the removal and materials for repairs if required. If for example the hive is 4 feet from the ground and is accessible (not in a wall, and no damage to the building required) this would be free. On the other hand, if the hive is in a wall this can become very time consuming and labor intensive, because of this there would be a cost to remove the hive.

Lastly if you are wanting to get into beekeeping and purchase a hive I will happily help you remove these bees into your own hive.

As a general rule I will service a 40 mile radius of Abingdon, MD. If you are outside of this area I will accept on a case by case basis.
