If you are an aviation buff or just like eclectic stuff, then these 1950's airport/airfield landing lights might just be the ticket. I purchased them years ago at an auction involving airplanes and airports. They came from an Air Force Base dismantlement in New Hampshire. They are very heavily made from aluminum, having bases that adjust for various angles. The lenses are heavy Pyrex fresnel glass which magnifies the beams of light for approximately 10 miles of pilot viewing distance. The ones made today are mostly plastic!! They operate on standard 110v and work great. I've had them in both my den and offices over the years but it is time to thin the herd and let someone else get as much enjoyment as I have had. The price is for both of them.
