Selling a highly collectible 1965 series East Caribbean Currency Authority $1 banknote. This specific bill is the sought-after 4-signature variety (Signature Variety 2/Catalog #Pick13a.2) from the earliest production era of the currency board. It features the authorized signatures of Chairman Arthur de K. Frampton, and regional directors Garris, Bramble, and Judah. Issued by East Caribbean Currency Authority (ECCA). The "L" prefix within the stamp circle indicates this bill was specifically assigned for use in St. Lucia. Front Design is the Famous 1955 Pietro Annigoni oil portrait engraving of young Queen Elizabeth II wearing the formal dark velvet robes of The Order of the Garter. The back design has a scenic engraving of Castries Harbor, St. Lucia, expertly printed by the security firm Thomas De La Rue & Co. London. The Verified Authenticity Features the original profile silhouette watermark of Queen Elizabeth II is fully visible and sharp in the unprinted white field when held to the light. The solid vertical metallic security thread woven straight through the paper matrix remains fully intact and unbroken. The note is in circulated condition with light vertical creases and generalized light paper wrinkling from historical handling. No tears, pinholes, or major stains. It is safely stored in a protective sleeve. Excellent historical piece for an active numismatic collector. $40 OBO
