Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible 1936 Republic of China 5 Yuan Banknote issued by The Central Bank of China. This specific variety is highly sought after by world paper money enthusiasts and is cataloged as variety 213C (Pick #P213c) This note was custom engraved and printed in London by the world-renowned Thomas De La Rue & Company. The obverse side features a striking portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-sen (Founding father of the Republic of China. The reverse side features the beautiful historic Central Bank of China building courtyard in Shanghai. Exceptional Uncirculated Condition, the paper is perfectly flat, crisp, and has never been folded or circulated. Clean white edges with sharp, intact corners.
