This copper Half Penny has a nice dark brown patina. These coins were issued to help with the major coin shortage, during the pre-Confederation. The obverse features St. George slaying the dragon, the reverse features the obsolete Coat of Arms of Upper Canada, featuring an anchor, the Sword of Justice, and a Tomahawk. (Key Date) This was the last year they made these coins before they changed to decimal system. Weighs about 7.6 grams, has about a 23mm diameter.
