From Tabaristan, it was minted during the period of the Abbasid Governors. Struck in silver, 734-803 AD. Tabaristan is along the Caspian Sea, in modern day Iran. One side features a crowned figure, and on the other side, it features a fire alter, a symbol of Zoroastrianism. These coins were used along the ancient Silk Road trade route. $75
